REFUGE LA BRECHE DE ROLAND - LES SARRADETS

Peaking at an altitude of 2587 m, the Brèche de Roland - Les Sarradets refuge faces the legendary breach that Roland de Roncevaux is said to have opened thanks to his famous Durandal sword … This real natural gate carved into a 100 m high wall gives access, in a mineral setting, to many 3000 as well as to the National Park of Ordesa and its canyons (Spain). The refuge, located in the heart of the Pyrenees National Park, overlooks the magnificent cirque of Gavarnie.
