REFUGE DU PORTILLON

The Portillon Refuge, located near the lake of the same name, is the ideal spot for high-mountain enthusiasts. The 4.5-hour ascent, which traverses all the mountain zones along an old mule trail that is well-marked and paved in places, can be punctuatedstops at the Lac d’Oufré refuge and then the Espingo refuge. Those spending their first night in a refuge will discover the mountain atmosphere in a comfortable and welcoming setting.
