Alain-Philippe welcomes you to an authentic château dating from 1650, an elegant, characterful building steeped in history and restored to the highest standards, situated in a peaceful setting in the heart of a small rural hamlet nestled on a sunny plateau overlooking the surrounding countryside. A magnificent rural setting of rolling, wooded hills, nestled in the heart of the Charolais bocage, between gentle meadows and beautiful, unspoilt forests. A stone’s throw from the medieval town of Mont-St-Vincent (12th-century Romanesque church, ramparts, the Tour de l’Assommoir, narrow streets, old houses, archaeological museum…) nestled on the slopes of the eponymous mountain, a unique vantage point offering a sumptuous 360° panorama across 14 departments, from Mont Blanc to the Puy de Dôme. A well-maintained property designed in the style of a ‘micro-farm’ (chicken coop, rabbit hutches, horses and ponies kept on site), featuring a delightful grassy garden with century-old trees (including a private terrace), a pétanque court, a covered terrace and a large covered courtyard housing a play area for children (table tennis, punching bag and a wide range of leisure and play equipment). A spacious and extremely comfortable holiday cottage. A warm, opulent and refined ‘bourgeois’ charm (period furniture and decorative accessories), enhanced by a meticulous restoration respecting the building’s heritage (majestic stone staircase, stone and brick walls, stone lintels, original wooden skylight…). Plenty of charm and character. A gentle, exotic atmosphere in a residence steeped in history. Layout: Holiday let adjoining the owners’ home (completely self-contained). Gas central heating. Pellet stove. Wi-Fi. Washing machine in external utility room. Ground floor: semi-professional kitchen, living/dining room, separate toilet. First floor: 3 bedrooms (2 with double beds 160x200cm / one double bed 140x190cm + 2 single beds 90x190cm) with private shower room (shower/WC). Private terrace + covered terrace + private parking. Shared grounds (1,700 m²). Bicycle storage. Carport. Local amenities 9 km away.
